For the chocolate lovers. Wayne’s Mudcake Delight and delightful it is.
Although the eisteddfod was way back in May I finally got some photo’s of Tess performing her solo. I got some ones that shows her costume as the lady who made it is putting a book together with all her designs. Tess danced beautifully she received the same score as the girl who got a highly commended but she didn't get one , so go figure out that one lol .
These photo’s were taken by Greg Miller from Greg Miller Photography in Buderim, he always takes the Sunshine Coast eisteddfod photo’s.
Up until last week Tess hadn't danced since the day she did her solo. She started at a new school last week and absolutely loves it. It’s fantastic to see her so enthusiastic to dance again. The new school is Sunshine Coast Performing Arts Centre or known as SCPAC in Caloundra it’s amazing, the studio’s are state of the art (and air conditioned lol her old school was in an industrial shed with no air conditioning) . The downside is it’s a 40 minute drive there and we have to do it four times a week. I guess it wont be long and she can drive herself. I'm so looking forward to the next few months to see how see goes.
I work in a bakery so thought I would take some photo’s at work. I was really hoping the baker had made his beautiful mud cakes but it was not to be, maybe tomorrow.
I was hoping that sometime over the weekend I would be able to get a couple of photos of Tess and Lucy together. I havent taken a photo of the both of them for a long time. Tess was out all day yesterday, then Lucy left just after Tess got home last night to spend the night at a friends place and is still not back. The light has gone now so I had to nag Tess to let me take some photo’s of her. She really didn't want her photo taken so smiles were kept to a minimum
I didn't take any photo’s today, well I took one tonight of the chicken soup that I lovingly made and it didn't look very nice , actually it looked really gross lol. Yeah I know I still should have used that photo. Then in desperation I took a photo of the TV that showed the cricket and in the small square on the bottom the Rugby union the Wallabies playing the Spring box I was watching both while I did the ironing last night but that photo didn't really work either.
Then when Tony came home from Toogoolawah this afternoon he gave me a disc of racing photo’s that a friend of ours Steve Hilton had taken. Steve takes photo’s for the American Magazine Dusty Times. I mentioned to him when we were in Alice Springs that in all the years I've known him I had never seen any of the photo’s he has taken. So now I have lol. So my photo for today is actually Steve’s photo’s of Tony racing at Mildura a couple of weeks ago. Tony came second in his class and ninth outright.
I live at one end of the Blackall Range in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. My eldest goes to school about 30kms away at the southern point of the range. You can see the majority of the Sunshine coast from here and on a fine day all the way to Brisbane. I'm finding myself driving there several times a week and I never tire of the view. These photo’s aren't the best as it was 12pm and it was a bit hazy.
That’s Mooloolaba you can see in the distance.
The view toward Caloundra.
On the other side of the range you can see farms and Baroon Pocket Dam.
Of a morning and night this bit of road and over the dam are often covered in fog.
I didn't have a very productive day today. Went to work and when I finished at 9.30 Tony picked me up, we popped home so he could do something mechanical and have a cuppa. We then drove to Maleny as Tony’s truck had broken down there the night before and he had driven to Brisbane to pick up a compressor so needed me to stay there with him until it was fixed just in case he couldn't fix it. So I spent an hour and a half here.
I guess there are worse places you could be stuck at lol.
Thought this looked funny it’s petals weren't quite open yet.
Until tomorrow
Bye for now
The trunk of my crepe myrtle.
The other side.
I only saw the little worm like thing when I loaded the photo’s on my computer I will have to check it out in the morning but I'm wondering if it’s some sort of pest that has caused the bark to do this. There were a few remnants of these things over the trunk.
